Brazile is taking over as chair of the Committee. Fudge is chair of the Convention.

Brazil issued the apology on behalf of the Party. She also appears to know some of what else is in the DNC emails over the last year and more while the hackers were inside the DNC systems.

seems something of an oxymoron

The Feds tried to warn the DNC they were being hacked months before the DNC took notice.

I have an idea or two about who you might ask, Donna. But I am not sure that you really want to know how deep that rabbit hole goes.

I'm not sure I really want to know either. Awkward, those answers might be.

People in positions of authority in the DNC who are shown to have violated the tenets of the Party's charter need to be banned from employment by the DNC and future political appointments that are paid for by contributions from the DNC.

People who abused the Party, should be banned from recieving an endorsement from the Party.

Like everyone else, all I have to go on is the media reported narrative. The DNC needs to conduct an investigation of its staff and of it's practices. It needs to be done with cool-headed, rational deliberation. It's going to take months to get to the bottom of the problem, more to inact a just response, and more to establish a team ethic that reduces the chances of similar future events.

should be barred from any role in this Party for all time. If this Party is vetted by bigoted Southern Baptists in all matters this Party has no room for LGBT or non Christians. They talk about inclusion but clearly carry out policy that is contradictory to that objective.

Bending the rules, cheating mean nothing to the win-at-all-costs types.

One of the basic problems for politicians is that for them winning -is- the thing that must happen. They are vulnerable to that pressure.

And that the Assange/Wikileaks/Russian cohorts (along with Trump who thanked Russia) have more.

They don't. If they had the more "damning" stuff they would've dumped it before the convention.

Assange was fed the worst stuff and yet it still did nothing.

Why not just keep up a dribble so it's an evergreen issue before the voters?

Perhaps save the worst for 3 days before the election, sort of an October Revolution surprise?

So far I've seen a half-dozen out of 20,000 that contained some nasty hardball politics stuff discussed among staffers, but I've seen nothing where any ACTION was taken by anyone to "rig" the system against Bernie...and I like Bernie. If he had won the primary I would definitely be voting for him in November.

But let's take a look at what we "DO know:

- The DNC allowed a Non-Democrat to run in their Primaries (Was that a typo I saw last night in the graphic while Bernie was speaking, or did they have (I) Vermont next to his name?)

- The DNC shared decades of electoral research and voter data-mining with a Non-Democrat

- The DNC put a Non-Democrat on the debate stage

- The DNC gave Bernie tremendous input into the drafting of the Party Platform

- The DNC gave a coveted Prime-Time Speaking slot to a Non-Democrat and will put his name in nomination for a Roll-Call vote.

So all of that is supposed to be dismissed because some dumbass DNC Staffers said bad things about Bernie in email...and again...as far as anyone can see...TOOK NO ACTION TO HARM Bernie.

The way the medias has gone after this BS story, you'd have thought there was an email stating "Osama Bin Laden determined to fly planes into buildings" a month before the WTC Tragedy....ohhhh....nevermind

The damage is from what the media reports and how they spin it. So long as the media spins it to be a "horrifying" negative most people- who will never read a single one of the emails - will come away with the impression that the DNC did nasty dishonest things to stop Bernie Sanders.

And yes, the Democratic National Convention has done a lot of positive things, but people will still remember the negatives.

After all, look at the negatives that have been publicized about Hillary Clinton over the years - but when people look at her actual history she has done so many positives. I'm glad the Democratic Convention is promoting the positive records of our candidates. First off, it counters the negativity of the Trump convention. Second, it informs people who have only heard the negative spin.

Same for Tim Kaine. Yes, he gave one boring speech years ago but that has branded him as"boring" for most people. When he was governor of Virginia an anti-LGBT marriage amendment was passed - but it is all dumped on him by many sources despite the fact that he campaigned against it, didn't sign it and could not have stopped it. Here on DU people have posted the incorrect information multiple times, so many think that is Kaine's true record. And Kaine's true record of fighting for equality is amazing!
