(297,987 posts)As an aside, I once worked for Jim King, the guy who was called back from retirement to stage-manage the 2004 Democratic Convention. A great Dem, who started as an advance man for JFK. Jimmy Carter later named him head of OPM, then Chairman of NTSB.
While I was working as a volunteer for John Kerry in Ohio, a friend of Kerry's told me that every advance person in the party at that time had been trained by Jim King.

(297,987 posts)We exercise and watch what we eat but I can tell you I have never gone looking for gluten free anything.
On the other hand my best friend from childhood only eats gluten free because of her health issues.
I'm lucky - I'm not allergic to anything

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
