HRC may not be considered a "leftist", but the mood in the country is certainly headed that way. The day the state of Texas votes Democratic will be wonderful. And oh yes, it's coming. The Repigs will become extiinct, but of course we'll have some other awful incarnation of those stupid idiots.

i can easily deal with HRC as president, but we need money OUT of politics ASAP. Perhaps with new members of the SCOTUS, they will overturn that idiotic decision re: Citizens United.

(9,289 posts)The decision itself was not a terrible one. The general problem is that under the first amendment individuals or groups with a lot of money have a distinct advantage in terms of speech.

(4,150 posts)Many of them only had hazy memories of the Reagan years, but I was already an adult. I remember full well the unbridled greed, the vacant, slack-jawed Reagan himself, and the awful Religious Right.

(19,060 posts)The fact that she's not considered one is a good thing, but she has a far left record. She's pragmatic in that she'll take a small win over no win, but she is definitely a leftist.
The country is ready for more progressive legislation and she's the exact candidate we need.
