NRA now selling hoodies with pocket for concealed weapon.

These people are despicable.

"NRA Begins Selling Hoodies With Pocket To Conceal Handguns. The National
Rifle Association has a new item in its online store: hoodies, with a special pocket designed to conceal a handgun. Hooded sweatshirts have taken on new meaning in the last week as a symbol for Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed while wearing one last month."

I don't get your problem with this. Alot of companies sell hoodies with pockets that can hold a concealed weapon.
I'm not defending the NRA, but whats the big deal when other companies have been doing this for years.

when I do dress to go out, I do take into consideration concealing my firearm which I'm am licensed to carry. So I just don't see any problem with this considering that these have been offered for sale for years. I have one I bought several years ago at one of our local gun stores.

Is it because the NRA is offering them now?

was but a twinkle in his parents eye... they have been around for years... there are also purses, pants, jackets and shirts designed for concealed carry...

do you have a shirt with and pattern or print around... you to own a shirt that is frequently marketed for concealed carry... the pattern helps hide any printing the from the gun...

with your assessment of that bat shit crazy org., I just don't see the why this is such big news considering that hoodies have been sold for years with conceal carry pockets and this is not something new.

I guess the point is because the NRA is now selling them is a reason to get outraged, but I just can't seem to give a shit one way or the other.
There are alot of other pressing problems in this country.

does. This is not something new, these hooded sweatshirts have been around for a long time. No big deal.
I just can't seem to generate the outrage like some of the posters here, now if the NRA were advertising them as Trayvon Martin style hoodies, then, I would be fucking furious, but thats not what their doing, all their doing is selling an item thats been offered elsewhere for several years.
That said, I still won't buy anything from them.

very similar to what the NRA is advertising. I guess it's because the NRA is selling them is the cause of outrage. They seem to think its a slap at Trayvon Martin, which if they were the only ones selling them, then I might agree, but these hooded sweatshirts have been for sale for years. This has nothing to do with Trayvon Martin and the outrage demonstrated here, IMHO, is ludicrous.
Just sayin.

But I have to agree with you, Sergeant Major. This is a non-issue on which liberal progressives should not be wasting our time.

And I say that as someone who has participated in marches for justice for Trayvon Martin--and I posted about one of them here...(and the link even includs a photo of pinboy3niner)...

Your right, Progressive Dems should not be wasting time over this. My feeling is, and I've expressed it several times, is the Dem. Party should wholeheartedly embrace the 2A and take this wedge issue away from the Repubs.. I believe the if the Party did this, we would assign the GOP to the trash heap of history where it belongs. I have several repub. friends who would vote dem in a heartbeat if we would change our stance on gun control.
Peace Out Brother.

You know the Democratic Party will not embrace 2A--and even if it did, that would not win over our opponents.

I have to disagree with you here, brother. This battle will be fought--and won or lost--over much larger issues. In the scheme of things, 2A , while imporant to some of the the wingers, is not a big factor in the election.

We may disagree at times, but you know that I am always glad you're here, SGM.

Off Topic--My top squad leader in VN also retired as a SGM. Possibly someone you know. Bobby retired to Huntsville, AL.

I probably served with him at one time or another. Our community is a rather close knit one, if I haven't met him, I'ved probably heard of him, we probably served just about the same total time frame.

You may be right about the 2A, but every Moderate to Lib. Repub. we could convert would be one more vote in Nov..
Plus I have a plan for taking the NRA away from the Repubs., we should all join, stage a coup from within and take over the leadership and throw those batshit crazy RW assholes out on their asses and return the NRA to what it used to be.
RW heads would be doing this.
And then this,
And finally this,
Gotta go for now, wife is dragging me to the store.

Outrage can transcend the normally linear orientation of time.

The NRA is so evil that they were able to sell these hoodies in response to something that hadn't even happened yet.

Can anyone deny now that they are a evil hate-organization?

Even the KKK doesn't have the ability to rearrange time just out of spite and hatred.

When you choose to CC you have to pick your clothing accordingly. I see this market "exploding" in the next few years as CC becomes more popular and people look for comfortable ways to carry new and more compact PPDs.

Bless their little hearts... of course they're selling them. Doesn't really matter if they're exploiting Trayvon Martin or just a lack of fashion-sense as long as the ENN-ARR-AYY gets its thirty shekels to better afford more politicians.

Wouldn't be too surprised to see some low-grade, cheaply-made broadcast advertising for them on Fox.
