Could Trump's attack on the Khans

be his Welch/McCarthy moment?

he has shown himself to be an indifferent, immoral grotesque immersion of a human.

but will this episode finally make most people see him for what he is?

At long last.

One loses count of the number of outrageous proclamations he has made in recent months. He has a coat of Teflon that will secure his hard-core supporters, but an equal number who don't care for EITHER him or Hillary could well desert him for good over his unfortunate choice of words.

The family name is not "Kahn."

Yes, the OP screwed it up, too. Obviously one of them there "funny ferner" names.

In this upside down political season, his comments will simply fire up his supporters more. Any other time he would be gone at the start.

Unfortunately a lot of angry white male voters are too. They aren't going to see what is wrong with his flawed arguments.

Education won't affect a narcissistic personality one way or another. And as you noted, those who dwell in white identity politics are not going to change their tune.

He is a sociopath . It's like there just isn't anyone home.

But his is also not very smart. And that makes it worse. Smart sociopaths wouldn't make the kind of mistakes he is making.

I see these guys in business. They are good at figures. But they have no ability to see the big picture on anything. And I don't think they even care. They are totally uninterested in anything outside their narrow little worlds.

I would love to see his school transcripts.
