KHAN REACTION: Read The Letter The Families Of ELEVEN Fallen Soldiers Just Sent To Trump

Source: Addicting Info

The families of eleven American soldiers who lost their lives serving the United States have banded together and sent a letter to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, reacting to his attack on the family of deceased Army Captain Humayun Khan.

After his father Khizr Khan spoke to the Democratic Convention, Trump asked ABC News, “Did Hillary’s scriptwriters write it?” Minimizing the loss of Khan’s son, Trump also said:

“I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I’ve had tremendous success. I think I’ve done a lot.”

Karen Meredith, who lost her son Ken Ballard in Iraq, organized a letter with the families of eleven other fallen soldiers to demand an apology from Trump. Here is the letter:

I am beginning to keep a little list of words which Trump does not understand:

Sacrifice
Memory (like when he says he has not met people and there is photographic proof)
Political Correctness (yes, that is a phrase). He apparently thinks that it means it is OK to insult anyone.
Christian ( I know we should not judge that, but has anyone seen ANY evidence?)
Knowledge
Vicious ( apparently thinks insults and attacks are vicious when directed toward him but not when he does them)

All I have time for today.

I am having such a hard time with that vow to keep politics off Facebook, but I understand "vow".

Donald J Trump
725 Fifth Avenue
New York, NY 10022

Mr. Trump,

We are all Gold Star Families, who have lost those we love the most in war. Ours is a sacrifice you will never know. Ours is a sacrifice we would never want you to know.

Your recent comments regarding the Khan family were repugnant, and personally offensive to us. When you question a mother’s pain, by implying that her religion, not her grief, kept her from addressing an arena of people, you are attacking us. When you say your job building buildings is akin to our sacrifice, you are attacking our sacrifice.

You are not just attacking us, you are cheapening the sacrifice made by those we lost. You are minimizing the risk our service members make for all of us. This goes beyond politics. It is about a sense of decency. That kind decency you mock as “political correctness.”

We feel we must speak out and demand you apologize to the Khans, to all Gold Star families, and to all Americans for your offensive, and frankly anti-American, comments.

We hope you will hear us.

Sincerely,

Nothing seems to get any traction with this bull in a china shop.

Why? Because the outrageousness is good for the news cycles, and trump has a pathological need to be in the news constantly. So, up goes the ante. When I read 538's analysis that this election is within the margin of error, I despair. How can 49% of Americans be so crass, so stupid, and so cruel?

Anytime these rightwing pricks begin to feel a little "vulnerable", or perhaps a little glimmer of humanity is trying to break through, they can turn on a 24/7 Cable "News" station, or turn to one of 1200 or so AM Radio Stations throughout America to HARDEN THEIR HEARTS and be reassured that their ignorance, bigotry, racism, hatred and misogyny is perfectly acceptable

Why there are not 1,000 people with signs outside of every local AM Radio Station in America is beyond me!

I don't give a shit if your local AM station plays Perry Como music for the other 21 hours, if they broadcast Limbaugh or Hannity, they need to be held accountable for the poison they are spewing.

It's so discouraging, though, to knock on door after door and have to listen to people ranting about their property taxes. And then having to remind them that your property taxes are what keeps the garbage picked up, and the snow plows running, and the library open.

I actually had some old coot say to me, "what do I care? I don't use the library. Why should I have to pay for it?"

After a day of stumping with the local assembly candidate, I need a shower and a martini.

Any normal human would have been undone months ago. This bull keeps on blundering through the china shop, out the back door, down the main road, into the glass works, through the supermarket, crashing through the greengrocer's, into the kiddies' playground...

His legacy is carnage and chaos. GoT's Littlefinger was right: chaos is a ladder.

Did he step over "the line"? Do you think he finally went too far? We've all heard him say such egregious things with absolutely NO blow back...things that would have been fatal to Clinton. But the media seems to be doing its job for a change and staying on this, and not giving him a free pass. A lot has happened in the past week. The Kochs are refusing to help fund him, the convention kicked ass, he's already whining about the debates, PUTIN...you guys know the list. And now he tries to call making money a "sacrifice". Hopefully, this is it.

I wish this would be "it," but I wished the Putin thing would be "it," and before that I wished the Ted Cruz's father/JFK thing would be "it," and before that I wished the "tiny hands/Little Marco" thing would be "it," and before that I wished the "bleeding out of her wherever" thing would be "it," and before that I wished the "Mexicans are rapists" thing would be "it"...

There's no bottom to this pit. There just isn't. It's just whiny-ass titty babies all the way down.

will the media cover this lie as breathlessly as they attacked gore for his incorrectly-quoted boast?

gore sponsored legislation funding the internet and pushed government agencies to put tons of useful information online, making the internet vastly more useful than it had been.

trump didn't "build" structures, he hired people to do all that. at most he raised funding for the structures, but he didn't lay bricks or nail wood or weld anything.

but no, the media will let him get away with that, naturally.
