Only one of these statements can be true.

In 2014 he said he had both a direct and indirect relationship with Putin, that they got on well, and that Trump's Miss Universe Pageant that year was a success because of his relationship to Putin. He went on to infer what great contacts he had, the leader of Russia being one of his great contacts.

In 2016 he denied he had a relationship with Putin. He said he didn't remember meeting him (as if meeting the head of Russia wasn't a memorable even because, you know, trump has all those great contacts, the best contacts, important people contacts. Or he may have been in the same room with him but they never spoke. But he can't, you know, remember.

So when did you tell the lie, Donald? Now or in 2014?
