http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/01/politics/donald-trump-khizr-khan-ukraine/index.htmlBy any conventional standard, Donald Trump just blundered through the worst three days of any presidential candidate in living memory.
Showing a characteristic refusal to back down from a fight, Trump took the almost unthinkable step of publicly escalating a feud with the parents of fallen US solider, Capt. Humayun Khan, who blasted Trump at last week's Democratic convention as unfit for the presidency.

(28,795 posts)at least TEN times today they ran that torpedo into her ship of state, with only TWO rebuttals, and after the last one, by Brian Fallon, in the morning, not ONE segment had another side of the story.
Just this moment, some exFiorina surrogate just hit this nail AGAIN, and Chris Hayes just let it pass by without comment!
that would be about 16-17 of these little narrative-supporting misstatements since mid morning
do your JOB, chris, and make them at least admit there's another side to this story, like Comey prosecuting her by press conference, which started the ball rolling
I just don't get why they let this crap happen

I absolutely detest cable 'news'.

(798 posts)And much better for my blood pressure and mental health. The "swift boat" scum in 2004 did it for me. That's ALL CNN covered.

(10,857 posts)... that he's such a liability because he's so manifestly unqualified for the job. I've seen this before. Bush* was also an idiot narcissist who couldn't complete a coherent sentence and who was manifestly unqualified for the job.
And he proved it through eight years as President which nearly destroyed the United States, because a good chuck of the American people are at least as stupid.
We should never allow asshole-Americans another chance to vote their conscience. I say we go after him like he's the second coming of Hitler, with the object of pissing him straight out of the race as soon as possible, and take the hit in Congress for giving the Republicans a do-over.
It's worth it. We have the years 2001-2009 to show us what happens if we fail to take Trump seriously.

(1,926 posts)At least W acted presidential.
Don the con? Not a chance.
His Presidency would be a crisis from the moment he took office. He would rely upon that crisis situation to stifle criticism and draw absolute power to himself. But unlike any other President, he wouldn't even have competent underlings to do the heavy lifting. It would be a shit-show from top to bottom, like everything he's ever done.

(9,213 posts)Trump was great for business when he was trying to get the nomination. Now he's great for business in spectacularly losing the presidency.
