The American Legion & VFW Will Probably Support Trump.

Despite their protestations these two organizations are very racist and white supremacist. The VFW hates Obama and vets are pretty much misogynistic in these organizations from what I have seen. Our Dem organization has breakfasts monthly at a VFW post. They like our money but HATE Democrats because we are commies.

So many vets are hard core right wing GOPPERS it is not even funny. Even the fact that the GOP says it will privatize the VA will NOT change their vote or support for GOPPERS.

4. I Am A Vietnam Vet And Would Never Join Those Hateful Organizations.

All they do is drink and tell war stories. I know an Iraq war vet who is a member of I think the VFW and he says is is a lone Democrats and is running for a DA office.

For me all I would be doing is arguing with those bastards and sitting by myself. And the VFW we go to you can sense the dislike of Dems. We have our monthly county meeting in a separate room so we do not mix with the members. But you can sense and hear the nastiness.

For those that immediately give me a look when I bring up Hillary vs Trump I switch to hey you should checkout Gary Johnson. Now keep in mind I'm in deep red Oklahoma and Clinton here is the devil but if I can keep dumbasses numbers down nationally I feel better about it. I tried to be a member years ago but they were so openly racist at my post, two AA vets, one I didn't see too much, I just said fuck VFW and fuck that post. Never went back. Finally got the help I needed thru a bonified county vet agency. I do believe the national will back the new nazi party fuhrer.

the Business Plot, planning to overthrow FDR in 1933. Because he was very popular with the military, they had planned to have General Smedley Butler lead their coup.

I suspect the American Legion hasn't been good for a long time.

They even pledged $3 million to buy weapons for their half-million man army so the troops could capture and hold the American capital. Once the seat of power was theirs, the plotters would install an ultra-nationalist and business-friendly regime modelled after Mussolini’s Italy. (Many conspirators were also admirers of Hitler even before the Nazis came to power, largely because of his ardent anti-communism).[3]

In 1933, American Legion leaders involved in the plot approached Butler, during which time they offered him command of the rebel army. The decorated war hero immediately alerted Washington of the plot, which admittedly hadn’t progressed much beyond the discussion phase. but there is some percentage of people that are stupid and some percentage that are mean and some percentage that are racist. We are probably never going to get the stupid, mean, racist vote and we don't want it. I think that the, umm, quality of Trump's supporters in itself will drive saner people away from him
