Funny how nobody in the media wants to discuss Trump's mental state

I'm not a licensed psychologist but then I don't believe that it takes one to conclude that Trump has some serious mental issues. Witness the following:

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) describes narcissism as a personality disorder. (copied from Wikipedia) According to the DSM-5, individuals with NPD have most or all of the following symptoms, typically without commensurate qualities or accomplishments:[8][11]

1.Grandiosity with expectations of superior treatment from others
2.Fixated on fantasies of power, success, intelligence, attractiveness, etc.
3.Self-perception of being unique, superior and associated with high-status people and institutions
4.Needing constant admiration from others
5.Sense of entitlement to special treatment and to obedience from others
6.Exploitative of others to achieve personal gain
7.Unwilling to empathize with others' feelings, wishes, or needs
8.Intensely jealous of others and the belief that others are equally jealous of them
9.Pompous and arrogant demeanor

Is there anyone of these traits that doesn't describe him.

I think it would make for a fascinating reality TV show to have several psychologists analyzing Trump from his many many appearances in public this past year.

1. There have been many articles in print media about exactly this.

The TV talking heads seem to be more focused on the political horse race. But it's about time somebody came on a major news show and said, yup, Trump is as mad as a box of frogs. NPD seems to check all the boxes. I've known a couple of people like that (not as far gone as Trump, but bad enough) and they are absolutely impossible to deal with.

It is written by Robert Kagan, one of the central "architects of evil" behind the PNAC and the Bush Administration's disastrous foreign policy, under which the earth still burns today. Seriously, you cannot find a person who better exemplifies the totally incompetent, scheming amorality of the Republican Party...

... and he is scared shitless by Donald Trump.

Trump scares the guy who nearly destroyed America. It would be hilarious if it were not so alarmingly familiar.

another candidate that the GOP can and will get behind. A lot of damage could be done in a short time to put us in danger of not winning the election.

meeting with, testing and evaluating an individual in a clinical setting is essentially malpractice and/or libel.

So, while the Abomination is certainly not like most people and has some strong narcissistic tendencies to be sure, you'll only find the people calling him 'insane' or giving other armchair diagnosis on discussion boards online. Thankfully.

10. Two things bother me about those armchair diagnoses:

The first is the sheer presumption of it. Reading the DSM doesn't qualify a person to diagnose mental illness any more than WebMD qualifies a person to diagnose physiological illness.

The second, and more perturbing thing is the trend to chalk bad behavior up to mental illness. That's a stigma people who actually suffer from mental illness could do to live without.

believe me, I would never post something like this under any other circumstances or about anyone other than Trump. Its no excuse but still, to the psychologically uneducated, this guy has all the symptoms of narcissism that he just got me really curious.

And BTW, knowingly or not, you did give me a very direct answer to my question. The ethics of what I proposed didn't occur to me.

He was on the Carol Costello portion this morning, but I didn't get his name.

I was happy to see that the issue is being discussed. In my opinion (no I'm not a mental health professional either, but I am an American who loves her country), Trump has exhibited ENOUGH erratic behavior for there to be a reasonable and logical questioning of his mental fitness to be President.

He is not fit.
