The Khan feud is getting too much media attention

And taking away from what I believe is bigger and more disturbing.

Why isn't the media or anyone talking about Trump's statement on sexual harassment and how he essentially believes that a woman should leave a job if harrased? It was brought up and then quickly dropped.

Belittling the life and family of a man that died for this country deserves the attention. He can't refute Trump, only his family is left to do that. Women are the strongest of the strong and they will hammer Trump and little Trump all the way to oblivion. They already are.

The Khans made it personal and he can't let it rest. Keep him in this meltdown and it just might finally take him down.

This would bring down any other candidate, but all previous candidates would not have responded in the first place.

Like when Trump talked about his employee being super attractive and that he would date her if he could... oh, wait, that was his daughter...also his employee... daughter, employee... both terribly wrong in their own way.

I think the problem with your post was you saying we shouldn't talk about the Kahn situation and should instead talk about sexual harassment. There is enough time and typing skills to discuss both issues without taking Trump's absolute disrespect for a fallen soldier out of the conversation.

Funny how Murdoch's paper is running pictures of Mrs. Trump nude trying to get everyone to start talking about his wife and now sexual harassment is coming up... almost as if someone is orchestrating an attempt to change the conversation.

Anyway, welcome to DU. I'm sure you'll enjoy your time here!

EDIT: I am adding an apology in a reply below-- i got snarky when I should have done my homework.

When I see a low number of posts I am more skeptical of the poster....it is my automatic troll defense mechanism.

I looked at your journal and realized that you are a long term member who doesn't post much. I should have looked at your posts before I gave a snotty response.

Sometimes what looks like a bait and switch is someone trying to focus a conversation on what is important to them. I agree that sexual harassment is a real problem worthy of much discussion and Trump may give us our best opportunity ever to really define and show examples of the problem. His otherwise outlandish behavior keeps pushing it to the back burner but I am pretty sure everyone here is ready and willing to discuss it.

First, and most obviously, there's Trumps discrimination against people based on their religion and ethnicity to portray them as unworthy to be Americans. There's his overt racism and demands to deport whole groups of people and ban Muslims, the sexism and misogyny, and the mocking of an American Gold Star family who gave their son to the people of this country. Trump also trash talked the military and the soldier who was killed. Most recently, Trump has even comments that their grief wasn't real, the heartfelt emotions weren't true, because they had appeared at the Democratic convention.

So, on many different levels, all of this feeds into the big picture that Trump in unfit to be the president, and that meme needs to get more media attention, not less.
