8. Quadafi had a major weapons cache. After he was overthrown

some referred to Libya as an "Arms Bazaar" as this huge store of weapons was being sold on the black market. Articles that I read mentioned that the weapons were involved in at least 40 conflicts in the region. There were certainly credible articles and reports on that.

I won't site anything or promote any conspiracy theor3y but is doesn't seem like a stretch.

IMO we need to to pay attention to things like this. .we have overtly and possibly covertly armed much of the region.

I always assumed that the federal government told the state there was a secret program that he was not to examine. I have never heard anything credible implicating Bill Clinton.

We at DU knew this almost immediately following the attacks. The Benghazi cover story had problems from the first day. First, there was no consulate in Benghazi -- nothing on Google or on the State Department's web site or list of official diplomatic sites. There had been mentions here and there concerning efforts in that part of Libya to resecure some of the massive cache of weapons that had been shipped into Libya. Those reports indicated a probable CIA involvement, more likely given the Ambassador's ties to the agency and his role during the overthrow of the government.

The reports at that time described how the small and medium arms were being routed through Turkey and were going to rebel groups fighting Assad in Syria. The linked Business Insider article is later, but consistent with what was discussed earlier here at DU.

BTW Notice the careful choice of words by Clinton and Obama in the early press briefings about Benghazi. Notice they do not use the term consulate.

HRC. It is probably one of the e-mails that the original Guccifer obtained when he hacked into Blumenthal's AOL account. I saw quite a few of those e-mails two years ago when Guccifer first put them out and this looks familiar to me.
