One of the cops, after the O'Neil was dead said, "He was shooting at us right?" They were firing on him while he was still in his car and after he was running from them they ran after him and shot him in the back.


Who wants to bet there will be another mass cop shooting somewhere soon?

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Video showing the Chicago police shooting that killed 18-year-old Paul O'Neal was released Friday.

More than 40 hours of video captured by police dashboard and body cameras was released to the public via the Independent Police Review Authority's online case portal around 11 a.m.

1. But that would not solve anything. The police need better training and they need to clean their

ranks from within. They and people in the communities need to start having meetings and events where they eat together or play games together to start building trust and communication. It would take a while but it could work. And getting guns off the streets would be a big help. I sure would not want to be a cop today with everyone walking around solving their every little spat by shooting someone.

8. That is interesting. I believe it was 1999 when news broke that the KKK infiltrated the police

force/forces. You would think with that by now they would have set up undercover cops to investigate the cops.

What I saw in the video this time was a bunch of cops chasing a kid and shooting him in the back. That is just murder right? How are they going to say they were in danger, (the shooter/s) when they were running after him.

I really wish this video would get more play.

2. This is horrifying. Again. Police Officers MUST be better trained. Any idiot can just

shoot at people. My god, they cannot be allowed to continue in their fatal ineptitude, aggression, racism--whatever is involved in any of these cases. It's all got to go. There is a way to do their jobs without constantly killing people!

I can here the RW now. "Well, if you don't want to get shot, don't steal a car!" As if death is an appropriate punishment for stealing a car, even if a fair trail had occurred before the lethal sentence! Which, of course, in these cases it hasn't. Judge, jury, and executioner all wrapped in in a blue uniform.
