Lawsuit: Trumpís NC campaign director pointed gun at aide

A former paid worker for Donald Trumpís presidential bid has accused the campaignís North Carolina state director of pointing a loaded pistol at him.

Vincent Bordini filed a civil lawsuit Wednesday in a North Carolina court against the Trump campaign and recent state director Earl Phillip. The lawsuit alleges assault and battery, seeking monetary damages for emotional distress. Bordini also says Trumpís national campaign leadership refused to address the February incident.

Wednesdayís lawsuit ó first reported by WBTV in Charlotte ó says Bordini and Phillip were traveling by car in South Carolina when the campaign director suddenly pulled out a .45 caliber handgun and pressed the barrel to his kneecap.

Phillip told The Associated Press Wednesday he had recently resigned as both state campaign director and as deputy chair of Trumpís National Diversity Coalition. ďI stepped down from ... all affiliations with Donald J. Trump until this is cleared up,Ē said Phillip, who is black.

In his lawsuit, Bordini alleges Phillip also pulled his gun on at least four other people within the Trump organization. The behavior was so widely recognized within the campaign that others knew the caliber of his gun, the lawsuit says.

A former Donald Trump campaign manager once terrorized a staffer by jabbing a loaded gun into his knee ó and team Trump refused to step in and help the harassed employee, according to a new lawsuit.

Vincent Bordini ó once an avid Trump supporter who worked for three months on the campaign as a software trainer ó filed a lawsuit Wednesday against North Carolina campaign director Earl Phillip and the Trump presidential campaign for the alleged February incident.

Bordini said he decided to file the lawsuit after the campaign failed to act on the matter.

"I just wanted the campaign to care," he told the Daily News Thursday.

Phillip ó who left his post in North Carolina last week to become the deputy chair of Trump's National Diversity Coalition ó stepped down from his new job Thursday, Charlotte-based station WCCB reported. He also did not attend the Republican National Convention last month.

6. Innovative kind of "outreach"

This guy sounds like a perfect fit for the Drumpf campaign. And, in case there was any doubt, we see clearly how Donnie Smallhands manages bully subordinates.
