As sure as I am that most of Donald Trump's supporters would be calling my gay Black/Latino self a half-n*gger f*ggot, I don't like the term "trailer trash". Its a dog whistle type term as much as "ghetto", "thug", or "hood rat" is. Its not right when either term is used.

And on edit: I also hate your headline. I was raised by a single mother in a trailer who worked underground in a mine after my dad died working on an oil rig. I am a professional geologist, and try to make my community better. Trailer trash forever, baby.

His most fervent supporters are white evangelical Christians! I can only assume that most of them are desperate to have more anti-abortion Supreme Court justices, and they're willing to risk nuclear annihilation to do it.

by not raising the wages on the bad jobs they had to scramble for, people on the bottom have had enough. They're backing a guy they know will completely wreck the political establishment in Washington, or that's what they think. They don't think he gives a damn about them, nobody does and they're used to that.

They just want a rapid turnover in the thieves at the top. They will never vote for a Clinton. They will never vote for Ryan or any of the other establishment types. They're so angry they'd rather rip it all down and start over than deal with what they've got. Which is nothing.

I hate to break it to people, but we're likely always going to have poorly educated people because they have learning disabilities or academic endeavors simply don't interest them.

There's also many people living in trailer parks who are NOT dumb or "trashy."

Anything above 0.5 is really stretching the concept of random association (above 0.3 is usually thought of as definitely connected) and while everybody knows the causation cliche, the higher the number the more you have to consider at least effects coming from the same root cause if not a direct A-B link. So while being very poorly educated does not drive criminality much directly, the correlation is very high because they share many of the same causes. I suspect that's what we are seeing here. Considering your ancestry to be "American" doesn't make you a Trump voter, but the combination of jingoism, lack of travel, narrow information sources and lack of empathy can easily lead to both.

The most interesting to me is the LFPR.
