Glenn Yarbough, a mainstay in the rock & roll and folk music business from the 1960's & into decades later, passed away Thursday night, at the age 86. I enjoyed listening to his songs over the years. There not many of these great singers around anymore, very sad.

(4,571 posts)but I've long suspected it was him singing this very memorable theme song from the childhood of the late baby boomers:

(4,305 posts)But I never knew it was him singing the the theme song to the cartoon I loved when I was a kid!

(4,571 posts)Not that I blame him. It ain't exactly reggae.

(4,305 posts)Maybe you're right then. Perhaps they weren't happy with Nash's rendition and called in Yarbrough and then didn't bother redoing the credits.

(2,284 posts)I was a big fan of the Limelighters and especially of Glenn. His voice would make the angels weep with jealousy. If I was feeling low a few Limelighters song would lift me right up. Rest in peace, Glenn, you are missed.
