Donald Trump will spend the rest of his life as a punchline

Last edited Mon Aug 22, 2016, 08:08 AM - Edit history (1)

And there will be nothing that he, his money, his henchmen, or anyone else can do about it.

He will spend his twilight years taking names and planning revenge. But he will live out the rest of his life as a bitter, hate filled, hollow old man, shouting lies that will echo off the walls of his empty castles.

Sinatra had the luxury of doing it "My Way" with the help of a godfather.

The rest of us are stuck dealing with whatever the world throws at us and having to deal with it ourselves.

Same way I feel about Nancy Reagan's book "My Turn." She had many "turns" in her life. Most people never get a single one.

Screw Sinatra's "My Way" and Nancy Reagan's "My Turn."

At least he admitted to biting off more than he could chew. Thankfully the end is near for Don the Con.

I was never a fan of Sinatra and I took that song as a big "Fuck you everyone, I'll do whatever I want and I don't care how it affects other people".

I thought that making Make America Great Again a punchline would be effective but I can't tell you how many times I've heard people mock him. He owns the word "huge" now - it is directly associated with him and almost immediately imitated ---- and everyone gets the joke.

But that has been his fate all along and in his darkest moments he has always known it. His legacy is a warning to others- another example of what NOT to do.

This is a win-win for someone whose ego is so enourmous that he sees a life of ruined marriages and bankrupties as successful.

If he wins the election he will take on the most powerful position in the world. If he loses, I think he will take pride in a new narrative of having manipulated the entire country into either fearing or supporting a buffoon.

He is either a president or a great actor. I think he is superficial enough that either suits him just fine. This is a guy who is proud of being part of a reality TV show.

Not after he loses by the biggest margin ever.

They will want to book him to ask him "WTF were you thinking?"

This is not some reality show....where he can yell...you're fired !

This is one of the most followed and investigated events during every fourth year..it is the most followed and investigated and he cannot control the investigation or the play.

...but he has already set the tone of the game...his tone, that tone that is discussed here...

..and it ain't pretty, and.......
............. that "ain't pretty" will be his legacy..

Now he will be an even bigger one I suppose. Meanwhile, the process of running for president is exposing what a fraud he really is to the whole world. As much as he's always been a huge joke, most people believed he was really very wealthy and successful. There are no secrets when you run for president and his billionaire status is coming under scrutiny - The Emperor truly has no clothes! Can't put the genie back in the bottle Donald.

Not only will he find it much harder to get paid for having his name on stuff but there will be many places currently bearing the Trump name who decide that it is no longer in their best interest.
