(54,899 posts)When I was in fourth and fifth grade, I often considered ingesting two particular chemicals marked poison in the Gilbert Chemistry Set I was given. I didn't make an attempt but I entertained how I'd do it pretty often. My family life was miserable.

(27,248 posts)His Mother also had her own mental issues . One day he had a meltdown and in the heat of the moment he said he " wished he was dead". I hugged him and had trouble keeping myself from crying.
When he was happy he was a delightful loving child who could turn quickly negative.
I hope he gets the help he needs but as he gets older and bigger at 7 years he was 80 lbs people are going to have a harder time getting him back in control. Sometimes we'd have 2 hours of meltdowns with crying, thumb sucking and running and hiding.

(2,197 posts)But I certainly thought about it as early as 9 years old and the idea that it was an option stayed with me for a very, very long time...it comes back at rare times but I know what to do with those thoughts nowadays.
