"Does it mean, if you don’t understand something, and the community of physicists don’t understand it, that means God did it? Is that how you want to play this game? Because if it is, here’s a list of things in the past that the physicists at the time didn’t understand [and now we do understand] [...]. If that’s how you want to invoke your evidence for God, then God is an ever-receding pocket of scientific ignorance that’s getting smaller and smaller and smaller as time moves on - so just be ready for that to happen, if that’s how you want to come at the problem."

But I grew up in Chicago, man. Let's not pretend like simmering anger and intimations of political violence, even, are some sort of brand new development.

Trump is letting it all hang out, to be sure- but again the good news is that the majority of Americans are seeing it and rejecting it.

Trump is about mainstreaming what his followers believe. What they represent and demand is out in the open. The Trump campaign more than anything else represents a Christian white supremacist movement that does not plan to take no for an answer.

threats of violence they threaten will occur if Don the Con loses. Not all supporters of Don the Con fall into that category and, based upon what you have said, your Dad does not. It is the base that would continue to support him even if he did shoot someone dead on 5th Avenue in NY, NY that we are talking about. The "Trump lovers."

I define Trump supporters into two categories: INCREDIBLY ignorant people or people who know he's awful but are still supporting him anyway. The latter group is worse than the former. They're American traitors who have more loyalty to the Republican party than to their country. However, I can't excuse the former group, either. I could excuse their stupidity in voting for George W. Bush twice. I CAN'T excuse voting for a narcissistic, moronic, racist lunatic who has never held a day in public office and has the vocabulary of a fifth grader. That's a bridge too far for me. They'll forever be repulsive dumbasses to me whose ignorance is going to lead to the death of this country someday and it might happen sooner than you think.
