Toxicology reports show that a 10-year-old Omaha boy died in April after ingesting a fatal amount of prescription drugs.
The autopsy concluded that Shykell Robinson died of multi-drug toxicity, said Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine.
Shykell had ingested oxycodone, an opiate used to relieve pain, and methadone, a synthetic opioid used to treat heroin and morphine addiction.
The coroner also found haloperidol, an anti-psychotic, and lorazepam, also known as Ativan, which is used to treat anxiety disorders.

(3,894 posts)2. After reading the entire article and the conditions he and his sibs lived in,
I'm willing to bet it was a suicide. No ten year old puts that many pills in his system without having an idea to die unless they were either forced upon him or he's mentally disabled to the point of being akin to a toddler thinking they were candy. The bitterness though of most drugs would lead me to believe even the latter is highly unlikely.
Perhaps, and I hope, his sacrifice will somehow be a benefit to his sibs as they may now get the help they need to get away from a careless and useless parent.

(27,461 posts)3. some of those soldiers we have in Honduras, etc.
maybe we should send some of them to the offices of the legal drug companies instead. It might make as much sense.
