To follow a DUer. It makes me sad when I wonder how many fantastic art essays I have missed.

For most of my life I have been grounded in math and technology- heck, I work in flight simulation. A few years ago I had to take an art history class, and I dreaded it. It ended up being the funnest class I ever took. With this, and CTYankee's posts, I have tried to expand my knowledge in the world of art. CaliforniaPeggy has gotten me into poetry. I cannot believe how much I have been changed since stumbling in here during the run up to the Iraq war. We have a lot of super people here, and you're one of them

I took Art in high school because it was the only co-ed course (hahahahha) and loved it, but they only promoted British artists. I love our planet's art. I sure loved CTYankee's Friday evening Art history lessons (I wrote Connecticut Yankee - still laughing). I have learned a lot at DU from you knowledgeable folks.

Always fun though to remember what I had once seen, to see it again with new depth and to learn about so many artistic works I haven't encountered.
