bien hecho!!!!!! y bien dicho!!!!!!

"It makes no sense to expel talented young people who are for all intents and purposes, Americans," Obama said.

"The notion that in some ways we would treat them as expendable makes no sense. If there is a young person here who has grown up here and wants to contribute to this society, wants to maybe start a business that will create jobs for other folks who are looking for work, that's the right thing to do," he said.

(that's "we" as in Howard Dean's organization, Democracy for America, btw) working on this with Organizing For America in the winter of 2010, when Congress caused a train wreck involving extension of the Bush Tax Cuts, ending Don't Ask Don't Tell, and extension of Un-employment, resulting in the Dream Act being tabled after 2-3 weeks of DFA/OFA phone-banking.

Just want you to know: Everyone accuses this guy of being a political opportunist. He isn't; Obama tries to do the best thing he can do in whatever situation is at hand. He's not trying to ride a Dream Act band-wagon. He WAS pushing that wagon well over a year ago at some political cost to himself during a very difficult time.

So much of this is from GOP obstruction, and then Democrats blame the President for what the GOP did to his intiatives?

He caught hell when he moved in the progressive direction, but how soon we can forget that.

It's either attention span, or the moment to moment nature of media that makes people forget all that Obama has done since Day One.

The meme propagation has overriden the facts so keep them coming, patrice.

6. Yeah, just encountered another possibly division-intended meme here a short while ago:

"The Republican Party is the White party" and, ergo, by extension "The Democratic Party is the non-White party ((and, therefore, not the place for poor Whites))."

The basic, most fundamental, trait of this evil is DIVISION. They want us to think our differences exclude our similarities, so we must divide and oppress one another until it becomes "necessary" to destroy one another, "in self defense" or "for their (those others') own good", just as we see in some Central American countries, people not being killed for the side they ARE on, but for NOT being on any side at all, for trying to be on EVERYONE's "side".
