Is it me, or is everything in Australia trying to kill you? Sure a snake can kill you, but a bird with a snake is a new one to add to the never ending list.

Giant rats, sharks, scorpions, crocodiles, stingrays, razor sharp coral, convicts, giant f**king spiders, more scorpions, pit of hell desert, cyclones, box jellyfish, wild fires, and now attack birds...

But seriously, you have a talent.

Still lolling (to this day) over the door buzzard thread.

You knocked that one out of the park.

I wish I bookmarked it. It would cure any depressing mood!

I keep coming to DU, rain or shine, because I know someone will make me smile ( or laugh out loud).

And that's worth a million.

I got into bed and was going to sleep when I felt it on my leg. At first I thought it was a wet spot, pulled the cover back, saw the snake and nearly died. It took my Grandmother over an hour to calm me down. I refused to sleep in that bed the rest of the time I was visiting her. I called my Mother the next day and demanded she fly me home( I was visiting my uncles farm in Michigan for the summer) I lived in California. 2 days later I flew home. I never trusted my cousin again.

When I was a kid we would catch and race garter snakes, then spend the next half hour arguing about who won since the snakes would rarely go in the same direction.

13. Possibly fake

But the only surprising thing, if its not fake, is a snake being about in August. This kind of stuff happens all the time here. It has been a warmish August (for winter), snakes are going to start moving soon and they are often found near water.

I once drove over a hill crest in central Queensland to see a wedge tailed eagle hovering just above the road with a calf's head in its talons.
