I've unfriended any 'friends" on Facebook who have liked the Donald Trump Facebook page.

Furthermore, I have asked all Facebook friends who support Trump to unfriend me.

I cannot abide being associated in any way with anybody who supports Trump to any degree.

This means any human being who refuses to support Hillary Clinton is my MORTAL ENEMY!

I mean this to the utmost because nothing is more important than support for Hillary Clinton in this election. Any person who does not whole heartedly support Hillary is my blood enemy.

I am furious with these bastards. They are selfish ignorant racist pigs. So a Trumper with an emergency cannot count on me to her; them. That is because they take the attitude that they hate and won't help liberals.

But so far I cannot stand to see their white wing hatred go uncontested among their incestuous group.

Conversation gets pretty dull if you reduce your social circle to a self licking ice cream cone of eternal affirmation.

Got on only to keep up wih pics of friends' kids and grandkids. Soon learned to ignore friend requests even from friends. I'm well under 100 and it's still way higher than I want.

Hats off to those who collect super high numbers of "friends" like a body count, as a mark of prestige. Some of us are happy with our low prestige.

Never was one for body counts.

I would say there is a difference between keeping the number of 'friends' (and I use the word loosely) down to a minimum and keeping that same list politically pure as appears to be the case of the OP. OP could have 1000 'friends' with whom they have little to no contact but none of them are Trump fans.

Every couple of months I give the list a look and cut loose folks I haven't talked to in years or have no interest in their daily comings and goings.

Currently sitting around 150ish but that is more a reflection of being in a younger generation than you (basing that off your avatar).

If I had to guess, your military network of friends spans the political spectrum ( probably weighted towards the right but still a full spread).

YMMV

Yes, a lot of us vets here are active in vet affairs and local charity projects. Occasionaly I see RW BS posted in the feed, usually from the same usual suspects.

But I rarely even look at FB, and those things are few and far between. And besides, I also have some very Liberal vet friends in our red area of Southern California. Some are not vocal on politics because of their jobs.

I don't have that problem. so my conservative friends all know me as their token LiberaL .

But we vets here reach out to our younger counterparts, so our friends may not skew as old as you think, even for this oldster.

You sound resolved in your actions, but at the same time to afraid to do it yourself.

You say you cannot abide being associated with them, yet you for some reason value that association enough that you don't want to be the one to burn the bridge.

Trump did most of it. Add the kerfuffle about standing for the anthem and almost everything else and they gone. I either unfriended them or they left.
This sure as hell sorted out a lot of things.

Besides the fact I'd lose several family members, I don't need "safe spaces".

I have conservative friends in real life too (only one of whom is voting for Trump). My world is more interesting with differing points of view. An echo chamber would be boring.
