This is disgraceful. It should be front page news all over the country. Those rentacops should be in jail for assault.

(58,785 posts)I'd say what else would one expect, but this is probably the third post claiming this isn't being covered.
It is. It, and thousands of other happenings are being covered -- by print media -- for people who want to be informed. I.e., all the people who actually follow the news.
TV isn't where the news is, and it's certainly not where people who want honest information go. Only the tiniest, tiniest fraction of the daily news is reported on TV "news" shows, and even that coverage is carefully styled to hopefully increase viewership. It's also far too shallow to provide any context for understanding. A paltry hour of public TV is sole, inadequate exception.
The cable channels are, of course, primarily devoted to discussion, not news. Fox's "news" is largely propaganda.
Radio -- NPR, of course, but all the hours in the day wouldn't begin to allow covering all the print media do.
Which leaves... Reading.
I quit watching television years ago. I get all my news by reading. I get much wider coverage, more in-depth reporting, and far more accuracy. I watch occasional clips that are posted on DU but it is my choice what to watch.
