but then it went to the tired old "clueless stoner" trope and that's just boring, not funny.

People who use cannabis range from babies to the elderly. I know cannabis users who are doctors, lawyers and PhDs.

Here's a clue for the truly "out-of-touch": cannabis enhances appetite, helps with pain, helps with anxiety and with a host of other issues. Those who use it are not any more ignorant or "tuned out" of current events than any other group.

Yet the stereotypes continue for cheap laughs. People are having a rough time trying to access this medicine, so the sad, lame jokes are just more piling on of hurting people.

But then, piling on hurting people is America's best industry, so there's that.
