"the reality television celebrity has dismissed tens of millions of Americansup to half of all Americansas shiftless people with no desire to work. During a June 2015 interview on Fox News with Sean Hannity, Trump declared...
"The problem we have right nowwe have a society that sits back and says we dont have to do anything. Eventually, the 50 percent cannot carryand its unfair to thembut cannot carry the other 50 percent."
And:
When Romney was caught saying that 47 percent of Americans do not accept the responsibility to take care of themselves, Trump declared that Romney should not apologize because he was essentially correct. You do have a large percentage of people not paying taxes, Trump said at the time. You do have a large percentage of people that feel theyre entitled. Entitled to handouts and a free ride"
Gee- I wonder what group he was referring to in his clever coded way?

(15,235 posts)Essentially, destroying programs Trump and most other Republicans call "entitlements" throws elderly, disabled and handicapped people out into the streets to beg, until they die or begin stealing and eventually cost taxpayers far more than they cost city, state and the federal governments now, because prosecuting and then incarcerating special needs prisoners is exceptionally expensive. Even murders can obtain early release, after they become old and disabled, to make room for more dangerous criminals.

(1,907 posts)Since I am retired, have friends that are retired. I know people who can barely walk, old, and can't work. I know people who are putting their kids through college and their kids don't have to worry about balancing work and college. I knew how clueless he was. Yes, dipshit I have worked since I was 13. And been putting money in social security all the time. I saved money so I could retire. Kind of figure I should be able to have a retirement and not work till I die. I also liked that I was able to send my kids to college. So I am one of those people you seem to think is being carried.
