I hope Kaptur wins (though I have no say). Who do you hope wins this primary?
Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) and Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OIH) both filed petitions to face each other in a 2012 Democratic primary race for Ohio's newly-configured 9th congressional district, the Toledo Blade reports.
The Hill: "After publicly shopping for a district in Washington state and mulling a challenge to Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio), Kucinich decided enough of his base was intact to mount a primary challenge against Kaptur, who is the longest-serving female in the House. The new district contains more of Kaptur's territory."

(156,620 posts)I think it's unfortunate that both these smart folks have to face each other...
I have no say either, unfortunately.

(55,334 posts)Here in Texas, we make LOTS of babies. LOTS, I tell you. We're getting like four or six new Congressional districts as a result. Most of them will go Democratic, btw. Remember, if Robert De Niro can do it, Ohioans can do it too.

(45,319 posts)my support for dog catcher. She's a 'my religion rules your life' type and I am sick of that whole line of fakery and hypocrisy.

(29,381 posts)Kucinich pissed off too many conservatives, so he must go now. The "New Democrats" want him to lose, as seen by some reactions here.

(5,202 posts)Even tho she is anti-choice - I still believe on the whole she will do more for progressive policy then Kuch. She has seniority and influence and she is terrific on labor and progressive economic issues.
Kuch was anti-choice as well until he changed his mind.
