Interesting detail on the Tulsa shooting

The below article is from a paper I do not read, but it points out on interest detail: the first cop on the scene did not immediately turn on her car's flashing lights. This is interesting because that would have started her dashcam rolling. She only later turned them on, and the dashcam captured the last part of the incident.

I find it strange that she rolled up on a vehicle in the middle of the road, stopped her car fully in her lane of traffic, and for some reason did not turn on her lights.

Edit: After looking again at the vids and article, perhaps I am wrong and she is claiming she NEVER turned on her lights and dashcam. That would be even stranger, because we can clearly see her flashing lights are on in the dashcam vid from the second police car.

At least I think it was all of it. After your post I went back and looked at the helicopter footage again. There was definitely more than that on the news this morning, but now that I'm looking back, I won't swear that the entire incident was recorded. Mea culpa.

I watched the vids yesterday and didn't remember how much they showed, and most just edit it to start close to the shooting anyway since that is what viewers sadly want to see...

Is how they're all clumped together as they're approaching him, effectively blocking their dash cams. I'm no expert, but if you suspect a guy of having a weapon, you don't bunch up like that because it increases the likelihood of one of you getting shot.

I'll see if I can find a link. It did show officers at the driver side rear of the car which would have been close enough to see that the driver side window was closed. Benjamin Crump was here assisting the family and they interviewed him on the local news. He pointed out that you could see the guy's blood on the window which proved for a fact that the window was in fact closed.

The police officer claimed fear for her life because she was afraid he was getting ready to reach inside the car to get a weapon. That has been proven an absured claim. There were several cops who, unless they were blind, should have noticed that the window was closed.

is from the second officer's car, not the first. The first cop got there several minutes before the available videos from the helicopter and second car dash cam. She said she secured the victim's vehicle and then he approached her from the side of the road. She said he did not follow her commands. Since we don't have her dash cam video, we do not see any of this earlier part of the incident.
