Authorities in Jackson said they will issue a warrant for the arrest of a police officer who allegedly lied about being shot by an unidentified suspect only described as a black male.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued warrants for the arrest of Officer Sherry Hall. Hall is accused of issuing false statements and writings and concealment of facts, tampering with evidence, interfering with government property and violation of oath.
Hall reportedly then fired two shots into the wood line near Camellia Court using the Glock .22 issued to her by the Jackson Police Department.
Records show Hall has also been previously charged with a felony. She was charged with first-degree criminal damage to property after an arrest in Spalding County in the 90s and received a five year probation. GBI didn't initially know about that Glock .2

Surely she was shot (easily verified by damage to her uniform and bruising of her abdomen). Was she embellishing for some reason?

anytime an officer discharges their weapon. The investigation would likely have led to her termination from the force. So she got creative.
