How much of a leader can anyone be if they will not interrupt and say his mic is not working?

I know his mic actually was working but if that is the excuse he is giving, for poor performance, then we need to deconstruct what it means. He could not talk about who pays for his wall when he was down in Mexico and he could not speak up about the hypothetically defective mic.

What kind of leader is that weak?
