I get that the cops had to investigate this. And yeah, prying a shovel under the door looks suspicious. But the cop had to take it from zero to beat down in 3 seconds flat. No warning.
The cop is fired. I hope the guy gets a big settlement.

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Body camera video released Monday shows a police officer using "disturbing," excessive force, according to city leaders in Greensboro, North Carolina.
After releasing the video, city council members voted 8-0 in favor of a resolution calling for the permanent suspension of former Greensboro officer Travis Cole's law enforcement certification.
The video shows Cole displaying "wrongful conduct" during an incident on June 17, according to WGHP.
When city leaders released the video during a press conference Monday, several people applauded.

(3,580 posts)When the guy said go ask Charlie over there if he knows me why didn't the female officer go ask Charlie. I can understand why they wanted to keep the guy on the porch. And the cop claiming using the phone was a threat was bullshit. They told the guy to call his mom several times, didn't say a word about it.

(9,527 posts)First, body cameras are a good thing.
Second, I'm glad Yourse wasn't injured.
Third, why in the blue fuck were charges dropped when the asshole resigned from the police?
Fourth, I'm glad the city stepped up and are taking the actions they are against the cop, hopefully charges follow.
