Were Trump supporters depressed by Donald's performance in first debate?

After all, he was the "Babe Ruth" of debating.

He had decimated 16 other Republicans in the primaries and there was nothing to indicate he would not do the same to Hillary?

If they are not depressed, they must be terribly disappointed? They thought Trump was going to wipe the floor with Hillary.

But, he didn't .

Their balloon was popped!

They thought they were supporting a corporate Uber man who could decimate anyone at will. Instead the got a rambling incompetent conspiracy-believing excuse-making word-salad-spewing clown who ran out of steam early and collapsed with only a few light jabs. Trump could not have performed worse. He's got one more chance to redeem himself with his loyalists and then it's all over.

And a veteran here.....
So, I would never lecture you.
But, have you ever seen the people at Trump rallies interviewed?

To stereotype them, these are some if the dumbest, least educated, most racist, sexist people in our society.
Even Trumps four word, fourth grade level reading ability statements are often over their heads.
He loves the uneducated as he once announced.
And, they love him.
Nothing could change that.
Sigh.

is that the former overlords of the Repugnant Party are no longer in charge.
The National Review, Weekly Standard, Heritage Foundation types have given way to the readers of Monster Truck Review and the Cheap Beer Swilling Gazette.

like Trump and his imbecilic supporters could do.

Republican leaders thought they were oh so smart and could control the morons as they took the morons' money and votes, but as you say, they've taken over the asylum.

My boss, a Trump supporter, came in and said he had watched the whole debate. I was like "Oh? And...?" Yeah, he just blew it off and walked away. I hadn't heard a thing yet about the debate but because of that I knew it went very badly for Captain Tiny-hands. I quietly gloated the rest of the night and couldn't wait to get home and read all about it!

They are not depressed; they are in denial. They think the media is lying about Hillary Clinton winning the debate. They, like Donald Trump, only believe the unscientific online polls which say Trump won the debate. There balloon was not popped. In there minds, Trump indeed wiped the floor with Hillary Clinton. Reality and facts do not sway them.

If they realized he fizzled like a popped balloon, that would mean they are far more aware of things than I have given them credit for up to now.

When I ask them why, the answers are mind-boggling. One said, "All Hillary did was lie." Another said something about how Lester Holt constantly interrupted Drumpf and shilled for Hillary. Another said, "She never answered the question about her e-mails." I also heard, "She looked too smug." One said that Hillary is so vile that you couldn't come to any other conclusion.

I swear these people live in their own reality.

My favorite response to Dumb Donald's implosion came from his own kids. Yesterday there was a report that Uday and Qusay Trump were talking about how they were furious at Dumb Donald's campaign staff for making him look so bad at the debate. But wait a minute. I thought you said he WON. See, they don't even believe their own bullshit.
