alt right bros may have done a grave disservice to the Trumpster and his campaign.

Yesterday there was a bit of chatter about gaming of the online polls (those that are trollable) being played hard - and even a few screen captures - maybe from 4chan or 8chan - that told folks who to get in to a cloaked mode so one could vote and vote and vote, etc.

Well The Donald, apparently, won't listen to his campaign folks that he needs to prepare better, because he thinks he did great. Look at all those polls. The ones that came out later (you know those where one person's 'vote' counts as one, those done by professional pollsters), he dismissed - probably thinks they are the faked ones.

Read this WaPo piece by Paul Waldman who lays out why the next debate may go much worse for Trump. He starts with the items that have spilled out about Trump's (lack of) prep and why he's not likely to do any serious prep. That made me think again, I wonder if the altright trolls who did serious gaming to skew the insta polls (vote on line) that sent Don the message "Ten Thumbs Up Don! You Won! Your the Man!" will make it impossible for his campaign to rein him in, make him practice and try to mitigate the damage done by the first debate.

The irony of the scenario made me smile.

The first debate was a defeat for Trump. Here’s why the second could be an outright massacre.

By Paul Waldman September 29 at 12:54 PM

If the first step to fixing your problem is acknowledging you have a problem, Donald Trump is in some serious trouble. We’re ten days from his second debate with Hillary Clinton, and while most voters and virtually every sane observer agree that Trump did poorly in the first debate, a spate of reporting suggests that his campaign, and especially Trump himself, are in a state of deep denial about what happened and what he needs to do in order to have a different outcome next time.

But that’s not all. Because of the format of the second debate, Trump stands to do even worse than he did in the first debate, and Clinton could do even better.

I’ll explain why that is in a moment, but first, let’s take a quick tour around Trumpland today:

Read the bullet points that follow. Think about the really poor strategy being pursued right now of sending out talking points to surrogates to hit hard on Clinton infidelity (his) - and that it does *nothing* to strategically help Trump. Except he thinks his zingers worked. He thinks his debate performance was great. He thinks *this* is the way to tip the scales, throw Hillary off, THIS IS his next debate strategy.

Thanks alt-right bros. Keep up the good work. (*adds thought to self: idiots*)

1. I thought the same thing. Trump's ego can't accept the fact that he lost the first debate.

These polls easily convince him that he won, and that he doesn't need to change anything. These fake pollsters harmed, rather than helped, him. They are too dumb to realize it.

Best debate ever. He wiped the floor with Clinton. He beat her to a pulp. There was nothing he could have done better. So there is absolutely no need for him to do any preparation for the upcoming debates. No reason at all. Already perfect.

exchange with a Trump Rep - challenging the promotion of fake polls. Don't normally think of Todd as terribly strong - but - Kudos. Pointing out the Trump machine embrace of fake polls and calling 'rigged' legit, scientific polls.

I have a friend on another board, and his sig line reads:

If somebody thinks they're a hedgehog, presumably you just give 'em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves.

-Douglas Adams

I think The Donald would fail that exercise.
