Sarah Palin Wonders Why She Had To Stand In Heels During 2008 VP Debate

Sarah Palin has a bone to pick with the Commission on Presidential Debates.

In a Facebook post Wednesday night, the former Republican vice presidential nominee pointed out that her debate with Vice President Joe Biden in 2008 was the only one in recent years where both candidates stood at lecterns rather than facing off across a table, and Palin in heels to boot.

"How is it that the dudes lucked out and got chairs over the last 20 years of VP debates minus one?" Palin wrote. "Want a real test - try standing in 👠👠 for 90 mins #heelsonglovesoff"

Who forced Sarah Palin to wear heels at her debate with Joe Biden? Was it Al Qaeda? ISIS? Putin? Bin Laden? Something's going on here, but nobody knows anything! Call Trump and get his crack investigative team on this, stat! This could overturn the 2008 election results.

Oh wait; never mind. It's just Sarah Palin complaining about her own foolish choices again. Grow up and take some responsibility for yourself, would you?

Every single detail of the presidential and vice presidential debates is negotiated between the political parties. There are many issues discussed and they include such items as the height of the podia, on which side each candidate stands and the format of the debate.

Sarah Palin conveniently forgets that her running mate's campaign made the decision for her to be standing:

http://debates.org/index.php?page=2008-debates#Anchor-Vice-47857

Here's the relevant paragraph:

Format:
90-minute debate with candidates standing at podiums. Candidates questioned in turn with 90-second responses, followed by two minutes of open discussion for each question. Ninety second closing statements.

What is it with Republicans? Are they unaware of the permanence of the internet? Like Governor Pence last night, they deny facts that are easily proven. Stupid.

And Sarah Palin is an idiot.

"Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did - backwards and in high heels."

It was Sarah's choice to wear heels. She's "backwards," too, but it's not clear if she even knows it.

A ditz too, but a grifter first and foremost. Fuck her! (My apologizes for using such a strong cuss word to those who hate hearing or reading one but she deserves it.)She only cares about money, she doesn't even care about her kids. Throw them under the bus to get money because people that care about kids are communists or something that a ditz would come up with. I just don't like her as a human being. She sucks (another cuss word that is probably not appropriate.) Again I apologize, I'm just feeling mad and she was Trump before Trump was Trump (her spending ordinary citizen's/or sorry-ass supporters money at Needless Markup, (Neiman Marcus) The markup it really is about 400%).

Deserves to be cussed at too. The way he poses with his kills and feels entitled about doing it might get me more angry than Palin. But I'm not really sure. I don't know, I hate them both and big Donald too. Just a bad day but I am using Fuck You more today than most days. And I do feel better. (Hate might be a strong word but i totally don't respect any of them.)

Thank you.

No one forced her to stand in heels for more than an hour. In addition, she is wrong. There have been multiple debates in which the VP candidates stood during the debates. George H. W. Bush and Geraldine Ferraro stood during their debate.

Also, Lloyd Bentsen and Dan Quayle also stood during their VP debate.

Why did they change the format? I'm sure it wasn't intentional to disadvantage her, and God knows she wouldn't have been good in any case, but standing wouldn't have been as comfortable as sitting and would have accentuated the height difference.
