I think she posted earlier about her planned whereabouts.
She shared this 3 hours ago: https://www.facebook.com/SpaceCoastDaily/posts/1122762107811258?pnref=story.unseen-section

(131,174 posts)See the water info article I posted?
and she replied to a friend asking if she was safe, 2 hours ago: 'am in a house west of all the water here, cement w/hurricane shutters, hunkered down with 3 other people. Fingers crossed and a lump in my throat; this is no fun.'

(6,568 posts)We just started getting the bigger gusts. She last posted on Facebook a couple hours ago, and a lot of Melbourne has been without power the past hour. The storm has shifted slightly and slowed. She should fare just fine, but may get some flooding depending on where in Melbourne she lives.

(6,568 posts)All boarded up and stocked up. Surprised I still have power. Palm Bay usually loses power if a gnat farts.

(6,568 posts)Like babylonsister and myself. A couple outer bands coming through with rain and a bit of wind, but nothing too bad. I had power all night (and still do). My mother and paternal grandparents lost power. My maternal grandmother, sisters, and cousins did not. We're all within 20 miles of each other.
