My power is flickering now.
In addition, idiots are out joyriding and getting stuck. They have to be rescued. Fine them out the wazoo!
The wind and rain are bad. Gonna get washed away, blowed away or both. Those poor people on the coast.
I'm ok. Been through this before.
Moonpie and Tater are hunkered up beside me.

(3,569 posts)Bought shrimp off the boat there. Have relatives at Murrill's inlet, on the strand who lost their house during Hugo.
Here's to hoping everyone around there are well. Be safe and be well to you all.

(47,953 posts)Savannah did better than I feared. I live there, and while we have a lot of trees down and some flooding, it could have been much worse. Most of the trees survived and the flooding was localized. The Storm surge hit the riverfront area hardest. We will be back.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
