Rape?

If Bill did rape one of those women it was wrong but it was not Hillary who did it. I had never heard of rape charges against him until Trump came into the picture as a candidate. I had only heard about him having an affair. Were there actually rape charges before Trump came into the picture?

This is what I read this morning about Broaddrick:

In a sworn affidavit on Dec 23, 1998, Juanita Broaddrick denied an “unsubstantiated, hearsay claim” made by the Paula Jones’ legal team that Bill Clinton had invited her (as Jane Doe #5) to a hotel room and forced her to have sex.

Under oath, Broaddrick said the rumors were “untrue”. Here are the relevant sections of her affidavit, per the Washington Post (my bold):

3. I met President Clinton more than twenty years ago through family friends. Our introduction was not arranged or facilitated, in any way, by the Arkansas State Police. I have never been an Arkansas state employee or a federal employee. I have never discussed with Mr. Clinton the possibility of state or federal employment nor has he offered me any such position. I have had no further relations with him for the past (15) years.

4. During the 1992 Presidential campaign there were unfounded rumors and stories circulated that Mr. Clinton had made unwelcome sexual advances toward me in the late seventies. Newspaper and tabloid reporters hounded me and my family, seeking corroboration of these tales. I repeatedly denied the allegations and requested that my family’s privacy be respected. These allegations are untrue and I had hoped that they would no longer haunt me, or cause further disruption to my family.

...on that rape accusation, there is zero proof. In fact, the hotel where the woman was staying where she said this happened has no record of her ever staying there, and no witnesses saw her or Clinton coming or going. The same goes for most of the other accusations. They are just that, accusations.

And that's fine, any such accusations should be taken seriously and the women respected. BUT.....it's frustrating that almost no one ever stops to clarify the facts. They just allow all the Trump surrogates to throw around these accusations like they are established fact.

What they are going to find if they do not dig deep is a lot of conservative sites. They have never really stopped talking about this so they will be the top hits for pages and pages.

Juanita Broaddrick has been considered the only reliable accuser and her story has remained fairly solid over the years though there are holes. The story can't be proven either way though.

It seems that she and Bill Clinton did sleep together but I personally think she invented the rape scenario (at least with Bill).

She was married... and had a boyfriend during this period. Nothing is wrong on the face of that other than not being faithful but her boyfriend didn't believe her completely and her husband never saw a fat lip, though he gave her one sometime later. She says that Hillary threatened her at some event but that really falls flat and actually makes Juanita seem less trustworthy.

So, I think there is some truth to her story but she told some lies around it and most likely came to believe them as the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I hate saying that because something was going on with her and I feel sorry for her but I do not believe that Bill raped her.
Bill did not have any issue finding women who wanted to be with him. He had a lot of groupies as was the case with Kathleen Willey among others.

She lied for whatever reason about something real that happened - just not as she tells it.
I think this is why she has been able to stick by her story 'fairly' closely for so many years outside of the depositions which she explained away and others take as valid/credible.
