On a very positive note

they are arriving this morning to start the installation of our solar panels. It is a free-standing array. This has been a plan for a long time and we are excited.

A few days ago I was pleasantly surprised to see a bank of solar panels atop a nearby house in my community, a place not generally known for its environmental consciousness.

Congratulations on your sunny new setup!

the toxic spill has happened. I really thought we might get rain today and make them unable to work, but there is not a cloud in the sky.

At least when it comes off the array. There is a unit called the "Inverter" that converts the DC to AC and synchronizes the phase, both needed to tie it into the home's power and the grid.
