Trump has turned dangerous. He knows he has lost and he wants to start a revolution.

IMO, he knows he has serious health issues and he is not ready to face those issues.

He knows all his games will be found out and he has nothing to leave for his family. He has been getting support from law enforcement groups and is getting ready for a Fort Sumter event.

He has become our ISIS.

but that mob is a distinct minority and the ones that aren't bone lazy are a minority within that minority. I think the local bars will become the main foci of political action--loud, drunken threats and boasting. Very few of these fools will try to get anything organized. Most will continue to be hardest on friends, casual acquaintances and family, as usual.

The sad thing is that Trumpy thinks he controls that mob. He doesn't. Oh, he can whip them into a frothing frenzy. He just won't be able to command them once he does. Once he's popped their hinges loose, they're beyond reason, beyond direction. All they can do is try to hit back at any perceived enemy. A policeman's lot will be an especially unhappy one.

The one compensation is that Trumpy's the kind of new money that usually dies broke.

Future historians will shake their heads in disbelief that the stodgy, stolid Republicans ran this asshole.

I also believe his ravings will go off the deep end quickly and that this, combined with the loss of any possibility that he will attain political power, will cause most of his followers to drift away from him in disillusion and despair. He'll soon be relegated to the same dustbin of history currently housing Palin and the ghost of McCarthy. Oh, certainly, someone will rise to take his place, to lead those disaffected souls who look to autocrats like Trump to lead them to whatever promise land is popular at the time, but the spell broken, the possibility of action cut off and political power beyond his grasp, Trump will fade into the broken, aging caricature he will soon be seen to be.

I think the whole right wing revolution thing is like the left wing Breitbart thing. Totally ridiculous.

But to ease your mind, if it does happen there are a shit ton of law abiding, armed Democrats and Republicans who would not stand by and let a group of crazy nuts use violence for political gain.

I am an armed Democrat and I am friends with armed republicans. Most are not voting for Trump. There will be no armed insurrection in this country.

That's all that's going to happen. You have to have passion to start a revolution. He has none.

Trump's Assassination Dog Whistle Was Even Scarier Than You Think

Those police groups? Just remember that about half of the people hired to be cops in the past 15 years or so, want nothing more than to be a cop and carry a gun. They are really that afraid of people and so insecure that they need a gun to make them feel safe. Most sheriffs are elected by the population of an area and their political affiliation will resemble that of the area.

Just remember though, there are those of us that took an oath to protect out Constitution from threats both foreign and domestic. We aren't cowards.

...and there are two things wrong with that.

First...as ridiculous as it may sound...many of his followers are royally pissed of at Fox for not being pro-trump 100% of the time. One suggested the other day that most of the personalities should be fired and the channel should be run by Hannity and Pirro.

Second...he wouldn't have to lift a finger to incite violence or "revolution"...all he'd have to do would be to keep fanning the flames and doing "Crooked Hillary" dog whistles. And the fact that he's got Bannon in his camp means that it would be Brietbart TV, the lowest of the low, and his flock would gobble it up like starved puppies encountering a fresh can of Alpo.

I just want him to go away forever. I really hope he defaults on his Russian loans and they put a hit out on him. He doesn't want the job - never did.

He's known from the outset that he wouldn't win, and has done everything possible to ensure that he wouldn't.

This whole campaign has been another "reality show" he's starring in. He loves the attention, loves the spotlight. But the presidency IS reality - and it's not a reality he wants to be any part of.

His problem now is that the spotlight has shifted from his "yuge bigly" success story to being focused on his ignorance of gov't, foreign affairs, etc., and he's being made to look the fool. The debates were his wake-up call - people actually noticed, and commented on, his lack of substance. I don't think he realized that was going to happen.

He has poked and prodded the GOP to the point where they're running away from him. Again, I don't think he comprehended that even THEY had a breaking point. He figured he could bully them without repercussions, because they'd defended him through one shitstorm after another.

Politically, I think Trump is an idiot. But spending a lifetime cheating people, cutting corners at the expense of others, losing his investors' money - there's a certain kind of smarts that goes with that territory. He's smart enough to know that he didn't have a chance against HRC, but was enjoying the ride - until now.

Aside from being ridiculed, Trump has also drawn unwanted attention to his business dealings, his tax dealings, his foundation's dealings. Again, he was too politically ignorant to know what scrutiny would be brought to bear on things he'd just as soon no one ever got curious about.

Start a revolution? Nonsense. You've got to be committed to something other than yourself to be a leader, especially a revolutionary one. And we all know Donald Trump is ONLY committed to himself and making money.

He'll lose - he'll squawk - he'll complain about rigged elections and the party that abandoned him. He'll get as much publicity out of the aftermath as he can.

That's it. The world will move on.
