My 86 year old mom is scared.........
she watched NBC news last night with Lester Holt. It was reported that if Trump takes Pennsylvania (where we live), he will win the election.
Mom was almost in tears when she said "I'm scared". This is a woman who lived through the Depression and WWII. She was also married to a 15 year Marine Corps vet. She basically served with him for 10 of those years as she moved where he was ordered to serve, and she lugged 4 kids along with her. Mom's first vote for President was Adlai Stevenson in 1952. She has lived through the absurdity of Reagan and W, but she doesn't think we'll survive the lunacy of Trump. I've told her that Pennsylvania is safe for Hillary, but she said that Florida was safe for Gore. To all voters don't let my 86 year old mom be scared.

1. My Mom is 85 and we are here in PA. She is also scared. She
sees these polls that show Trump close and it frightens her. She also listens to KDKA radio (Pittsburgh) and they are right wing nuts for the most part. Few, if any hosts pro- Hillary.

5. We're in Pittsburgh too...
she doesn't listen to the radio, thank a higher power for that. I hate KDKA radio & I dislike their 3 hour evening newscast, where very little news is reported. It's mostly health & special interest reports.

8. They have really gone downhill since the 60's. My
Mom lives alone (widowed in 2004). She listens to the radio and the tv at the same time! All of her friends are gone now. I know she is lonely, but I wish she would turn off that radio.

2. Tell mom to fear not.
Her generation taught us well. Take her out, or make her dinner on Nov 8th.
Hillary's got this. |

3. Tell her that is a lie. An absolute, utter lie.
Pennsylvania leans (barely) Dem and has lost its clout as a battleground state because so many people have left. Yes, there are a LOT of racists ensconced in various sections of PA, but other states will mitigate if PA is stupid enough to go for Trump.
I should hope the women of PA are smart enough to get out and vote against that orange asswipe. Pennsylvania, where the U.S. Constitution was written, was the second state admitted to the Union, officially becoming a state in December 1787. The Keystone State has participated in all 57 presidential elections through 2012. Pennsylvania is generally considered a battleground state, although it has voted Democratic in the last six elections. In 2012, Barack Obama won over Mitt Romney by about 5%. While still an important prize, with 20 electoral votes, Pennsylvania, like many industrial northern states, has seen population migrate away in recent decades. Peaking at 38 electoral votes in the 1910s and 1920s (second only to New York), the state has lost 45 percent of its electoral clout in 80 years.

4. I'd like to see Clinton do an ad with all the moms who are scared. Bury Trump and Deplorables.

9. On November 9th, it will be President-elect Hillary Rodham Clinton.
I see NO way that anyone can stop her from 270+ electoral votes.
We come into this election with a solid bloc of 242 EV's and just one or two battleground states will get her elected. |
