Make the Democrats seem 1) not that much different than Republicans and 2) give people no hope for enacting change and getting off their butt and doing the one civic duty that you have in a democracy. The one duty. Voting. That's it.

And that's why they always win the damn midterms, because of that purely debasing rhetoric of our very democracy.

Every time the left shits on Democrats they play right in to the Republican playbook.
