and her boyfriend (soon to be husband, he proposed while here). They are leaving to go home to Australia in a few hours. She posted her absentee ballot while home. He's British, so he doesn't vote, until he marries her & applies for US citizenship.
I hope & pray that in 2 weeks she won't have to try to explain to her Aussie friends how the hell Trump became President. Her cousin was living in Greece in 2004 & was always questioned about how Bush came to be President again.
So cheers to the couple, cheers to the complete faith I have in my fellow voters not to embarrass those Americans living abroad and may they have a safe trip back.

(714 posts)I also have a Niece who spends a lot of time in Australia. Her boyfriend is from Perth. They spent some time here recently and it was hard for her boyfriend and his family to believe Trump was an actually a real candidate.

I have worked on every Election since 1972! I am the team caption for early voting for my district and have worked all day every day and I love every minute. My husband and I are getting a chance to see Bill Clinton tomorrow and we are pretty happy about that!
