Today's version of the Republican Party must be defeated and crushed

It seems that the ugly side of human nature is once again in ascendance. And sane people understand the need to crush this present insanity that the Republican Party embodies. But how?

We've seen this before in history. And if history is any guide, the coming years will test our fortitude, our integrity and our need to challenge those who are taking us down a path of insanity and utter destruction. But how do we battle them, and retain our humanity while doing so? The danger is that we will become what we hate. And we may just destroy ourselves and our country in the process.

Nonetheless, we are faced by what may be called a "second civil war." It wont involve regional conflicts (slave states vs. free states), or the bloody conflict that resulted in the deaths of three quarters of a million Americans (more than died in all of our other wars put together). But it will involve ideological conflicts over what kind of people/country we are.

Does anyone on this DU site really question that the Republican Party has pushed us to the wall with their made up lies and their invention of an alternate reality? It's past time that we fought back against this verbal venom with more than our claims of "moral rectitude." It's past time that we shoved their poison down their own throats.

And therein lies the dilemma. How do we go about fighting them while we tie our hands behind our backs with our sense of "righteousness?" How do we keep our consiousences

How do we engage in full battle against everything that we believe in.

As long as we come at them with facts and not be afraid to use them we'll win. I posted about Trump's rape case and someone here asked why are you posting this? Do you think the other side would ask such a dumbass question, if the shoe were on the other foot?

I used to believe that. I used to believe "The truth will set you free." I used to believe a lot of things. Reality and time tend to wear us down.

We require the never ending stamina of those we oppose. They never get tired of lies, deceit and and what can only be called villainy. But standing up for what's right really takes a toll on us.

I'm glad we have sites such as DU where we can find others to re-enforce our beliefs. Where we can find others that feel as we do. Where we can find allies in our battle against everything that is wrong and fucked up about the human condition.

Were you there? Why are you so dismissive of a pending rape case? You are part of the problem. Is it really hard to believe that a guy who bragged about sexual assault actually raped someone. His own wife said he raped her. The language he used during the rape of the 13-year-old girl is the same language he used on access Hollywood tape. I'm truly disgusted by people at the DU who come out of the woodwork bashing people for posting about an actual case, not some e-mail bullshit! Trump's hearing for the rape case is in December.

6. I won't violate DU's TOS like you did with your personal attack.

The case has been dismissed twice now. It is refiled with more anonymous witnesses. You can't have a case with anonymous plaintiffs and anonymous witnesses. Check with any lawyer on that. In addition it was filed past the statute of limitations which means it is barred by the passage of time. This case will be dismissed a third time in December.

have her day in court.. Especially since Trump himself admitted that he engages in sexual assault.

3. Not a simple answer...

First off the truth...

Empire, not nation or country. Once we get that unsettling piece of info out of the way, the monster starts to take shape.

We should shame religion for having no unified moral compass. Many flocks are led by those who slobber all over $ and keep brainwashing the sheeple to vote corruption into office.

We should use the three pillars as our rock. Expose those who would undermine Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare.

Keep planet Earth at the forefront. It is dying and people who will see the end of certain resources already walk the planet.

Expose Republicans as a party with no plan other than to let the corrupt wealthy push us all around.

Count out how many times Fox et alai speak ill of the Democrats and how many times they praise them. This shows how they make their sheeple accept corruptions.

Expose areas that have only right wing media available.

Expose states that are abusive in voter rights, gerrymandering and voter suppression. How does Alabama get so many to play football for them when they trample on such rights?
