I remember Alex Wagner and other very good people during the daytime schedule but now it's worse than CNN, at times it's like F#%.

(135,425 posts)CNN is marginally 'better' - for what that is worth.

(7,730 posts)It was nice while it lasted to have something the opposite of that other network I won't mention. CNN seems to try too hard to pander to the tea bragger crowd and I guess so does MSNBC now as well.

(15,438 posts)their 'news' reporting to give it a conservative bias - except for Rachel, Chris, and Lawrence. I'm wondering how long it will take before they're replaced with Con-enablers like Chuck Todd.

(94,787 posts)People have been whining that they'd be bumped off any day now. The coverage is still broadly center-left, but a juicy news story is still news.

(15,438 posts)as distrusted as Trump. That isn't an accident.
Coverage on Trump U lawsuit? Dead and gone.
Coverage on the Federal case filed against him for sexual assault of a child? Zip.
Coverage on his huge ties with Russian billionaires and that he got hundreds of millions selling condos to them? Nada.
Coverage on his refusal to release his tax returns? Dead and gone.
Coverage on Ratface Chaffetz' leakiness and lies about "FBI reopening criminal case against Hillary? Zilch.
But Clinton EMAILZZZZZZZZZ!!!! 24/7.
And yes, I know you didn't mean the above when you held your finger on the z-key.

(111,374 posts)Mornings have always been awful as they pandered to an old, conservative demographic. Once they got rid of Olbermann due to a combination of his temper and lobbying by Morning Joke, the whole enterprise started to slide downhill. Liberal afternoon and evening hosts have been replaced with more conservative hacks who are willing to toe the corporate line.
I don't know how anyone can stand to watch the swill known as cable news. I was stuck with CNN and not much other fare in the hospital a year and a half ago and couldn't stomach more than 10 minutes of the reporting of utter minutiae as though they were bringing the end of the civilized world.
IOW, just turn that shit off. Your blood pressure will thank you.

(6,979 posts)I have friends who STILL try to stomach a whole days worth of msRNC's bs, and they constantly email me or call me to complain. I tell them to JUST STOP WATCHING! Problem solved, their blood-pressure is all good
Since they were bought by Comcast, they've taken a turn right. I can only watch ONE show host over there consistently and that's Joy-Ann Reid. She's fantastic. I still watch Lawrence Occasionally, sometimes Chris Hayes and Rachel, but even Rachel sometimes loses me at times now-a-days. But, those are the only hosts I can stomach watching over there. As one other person said in this thread, CNN IS "marginally" better, so I sometimes watch them, but not continually. I pick and choose my spots.
