On CNN, the panel discussing trump's picks basically have their jaws on the floor.

One by one they're discussing how each one of these goons trump has picked, have positions that are "problematic" to say the least.
They say it's becoming clearer by who trump picks and surrounds himself with where trump is on issues.
There are lots of frowns and concerned looks on their faces, bordering on horror, actually.
We are so screwed.

Moderators and panelists were dominantly Clinton/Dem supporters with token Trump defenders like "trump barbie" and "old gray trumpster" that offered strained counterpoint to the majority of the panel. Van Jones was ever present bringing thoughtful insight with respectful humility to the discussion. They skewered Trump after the Access Hollywood tape for weeks, until the Comey's molotov cocktail hit the floor, and even then even with Clinton on the defensive they were on balance still not Trump leaning.

This is a FACT.

You are talking about CNN many, many months into the primaries. However, the damage was done early on and would stay that way throughout the primaries. GOP voters didn't have a real opportunity to examine the 17 candidates and their positions when CNN in particular and the rest of the networks later were devoting all of their airtime to a dipshit candidate who didn't run a serious campaign at all.

That is because Zucker was president of NBC Entertainment when Trump had The Apprentice. The relationship has existed for many years. Zucker doesn't believe news organizations are in the business of providing a public good and civic responsibility. News networks to him are only about entertainment, ratings, and ad revenue.

the damage early was really to the other Republican candidates, who were a motley crew of questionable character and accomplishment anyway.. so yeah Donald was more entertaining and the game him a lot of attention. But as far as the GE against Clinton, the bias seemed to be against Trump not for him.

People admire crap like "The Apprentice" and "Survivor". They identify with the "winners" of these staged affairs. They get to call in and vote on "American Idol"! They don't essentially care that this winner-take-all format labels most of the people who participated as losers. I can't even watch the Food Network anymore without its devolving into some kind of competition.

I watch "Good Morning America" in the mornings (mostly to make sure I stay on schedule and catch the bus) and I'm always completely flummoxed by the fact that one minute they'll be covering a devastating typhoon in Asia or a crisis in a refugee camp, but their number one news story will be announcing the next cast of "Dancing With the Stars".
