Random Thoughts (while theyre still permitted)

This is a plea to those who voted for Donald Trump. I know that many of you do not read this site, but if you came here (not to troll, but to see what we’re discussing) please read on. And if you disagree with me and are afraid of being deleted, send me a private email

Here’s a fact you can Google. More human beings (soldiers and civilians) died during WWII than died in any war in all human history.

And that doesn’t include those who died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
All of us possess, to some degree, a sense of decency. So let me appeal to your decency and get to the point.

Many millions of Americans believe that President-elect Trump could be a danger to all of us, including some Republicans, as well as Hillary voters and many, if not most, of the rest of the human beings on planet Earth.

As a Trump voter, you probably do not believe this. But please try to understand what millions of people feel and fear. He is surrounded by advisors who do not care about the wellbeing of any of us, and who really don’t give a rat’s ass if we live or die. They care about their own well-being, their power, and their ability to hold onto that power as long as humanly possible.

At some point, when this president-elect doesn’t deliver anything you hoped for, you may begin to understand that you’ve been had. He can’t bring back your coal-mining jobs, your auto industry jobs, or any other work that has been replaced, not by those in other countries, but by microchips.

And there are some of you who voted for him to establish a tax free, white, Christian, male dominated America. I vehemently disagree with your vision of what our country should be. But I seriously doubt that Donald Trump will bring about your fantasy. Please try to understand that your vision of America is not that which is shared by many millions of your fellow Americans and will never come to be.

We, on the left, or left of center, or whatever you want to call it, really believe in a world in which all humans can coexist. You may not like that concept, but it is the future, whether we live to see it or not.

But assuming the Earth’s climate doesn’t kill us all off, how about trying to meet us half way. How about keeping your eye on this president-elect and see if he’s doing anything, -- anything, to make your life better.

And while you’re watching, see if he does one, or two, or three more things that frighten you. If you see that happening, you’ll understand how the rest of us feel.

That's why so many of us are living in fear of the two words, “President Trump.”

It is clearly too late to unelect trump but I've gotten a few of his supporters to question allowing his kids to run the business & advise him, appointing people with clear ties to foreign entities & using an unsecure phone to communicate with world leaders. I did this by confronting them with tweets & posts they made against Hillary. And I confronted them with if what bothered you so much about Hillary doesn't bother you about trump then just admit you're a racist misogynist for supporting him. So far 3 of them are alarmed by some of trumps post election decisions & I am engaging them in conversation. Hold trump to the same "standards" they used to smear Obama & Hillary. I hope they talk to their friends.
