I think the networks will be derelict in opposing trump.

However after that dressing down he gave them yesterday, some may start opposing him. I am more hopefull that real investigative journalism will come from the print press as it historically always as.
Anchors on tv are just there to generate ratings. The newspapers is where real journalists are.

They better start pushing back quick. Trump is trying to take control of the media exactly like a dictator would. Yet, when I point that out to people I am told that I am paranoid and "it cant happen here".

They already have enough material to run with it for years were they to actually follow up on the myriad of scandals following Trump.

They have no spine because they are being paid to have no spine. Kind of makes a strong case for a publicly owned media - but then again, considering who would own it just now, I don't know if that's any better.

They were all wearing those sh*t-eating grins will entering the gilt-plated elevators. It was like they were invited to a party. I would like to see the pictures of them leaving that meeting.

If he invites them back, you know they would all show up hoping for more morsels from the dumpster. They have no morals, no ethics, no journalistic integrity.
