Backwoods upbringing along with Classical (Liberal Arts) schooling. He loved wordplay - double and triple entendre.

I suspect there would be something more Shakespearian - and references to genitals in pig wallows, or perhaps scatological parings with hyenas in his comments.

The finger would be the least offensive gesture he'd make.
