Mnuchin spent 17 years with Goldman Sachs, and his father worked at the bank for 30 years in stock trading.
Mnuchin was chief information officer at Goldman Sachs before he left the firm in 2002. He also worked briefly for George Soros.

(82,849 posts)At least a few of his supporters voted for Trump because they bought his patter about breaking away from the clutches of the banksters and the Wall Street insiders. How do his supporters feel about a Goldman Sachs executive presiding over the Treasury? Is that the "outsider" platform they voted for? How is their hero Trump acting any differently from the people his supporters were told to hate during the campaign? Do they like being played for suckers?
